  • This is your chance to be entered into our prize draw for a luxurious and cultural self-drive six night DB&B tour of north Wales for two people. Travelling by ferry from Holland to the UK.

    The first two nights will be spent near the North East Wales town of Wrexham with DB&B at the Best Western Cross Lanes Country Hotel set in six and a half acres of beautiful grounds and gardens. When you visit the Cross Lanes you will be touched by the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape, which provides the ideal backdrop for your break. Your visit to this region of Wales will incude a visit to Pro Adventure, an established UK adventure holiday company and Bodelwyddan Castle, a lovingly restored Victorian country mansion set in 260 acres of magnificent parkland.

    Your third and fourth nights will be DB&B at the luxurious four star St Georges Hotel in Llandudno. Every detail of the hotel is designed to offer a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, calm moods and a fresh, professional approach to service. The Terrace Restaurant, overlooking the spectacular coastal views of Llandudno Bay, with its vibrant and sophisticated atmosphere has a great reputation for excellent food and interesting wines. Whilst in this region of north Wales you will visit the World Herigare Site of Conwy Castle, one of the finest examples of a castle and walled town in Britain. You will also visit Trefriw Woollen Mill, manufactures of Welsh bedspreads ‘tapestry’ and tweed. You will be able to see the weaving shed, turbine house.

    Your final two evenings will be spent in the north west Wales region, with DB&B at the Tyn Rhos Country House and Restaurant, a five star hotel, set in 50 acres of rolling countryside. The property has undergone an extensive refurbishment, giving Ty’n Rhos an air of modern luxury. From here you will visit the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, set in 2000 acres of land above the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog it is a living, working slate mine. You will also take the 13½-mile journey on the Ffestiniog Railway. This will take you on a journey from the harbour in Porthmadog to the slate-quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. This historic trains climb over 700 feet from sea level into the mountains through tranquil pastures and magnificent forests, past lakes and waterfalls, round horseshoe bends (even a complete spiral) clinging to the side of the mountain or even tunnelling through it.
